We begin with a look at the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section adding 8-man football into its mix this season and why the appearance of some bigger schools down in 8-man could be trend-setting for other CIF sections. We also have our first QB passing for nearly 600 yards in one game plus more stat stars from games that ended 61-55 and 59-56.

8-MAN FOOTBALL BEGINS IN SAC-JOAQUIN SECTION
WITH INTERESTING TWIST
There has been talk of having 8-man football offered in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section for a few years and it is now happening this season. Having it for small schools like Turlock Christian, Vacaville Christian, Valley Christian of Roseville and Western Sierra of Rocklin is long overdue, but it’s the addition of schools much longer affiliated with 11-man football and some with very strong 11-man traditions that for an old-timer just seems weird.
