We head to greater Los Angeles County to begin our series of preseason all-section football teams around the state with a look at the CIF L.A. City Section. The section has shown some positive strides after some rough post-COVID seasons, but two coaching giants within the section won’t be roaming the sidelines this fall. Will the infusion of young coaches help the section’s momentum in the right direction? Marine League power and defending champ Carson is a favorite to win the 2026 section open crown.
Note: These preseason all-section will be done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. They are based on a combination of what the players did last season and college recruiting. Transfers may not be included if not reported yet, haven’t played for a new school yet, or info on a transfer from previous school isn’t available. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.
