One of our choices this week is pitcher Jonathan Guardado from Nogales of La Puente, who threw his fourth no-hitter of the season and along with a pitcher from Sage Hill (Newport Beach) is just one away from tying state record. Our other honorees are from Petaluma, Porterville and Ramona.

Big-time recruit Jaelan Phillips does something to get this week’s SoCal Defensive POW honor and get his name into the state record book. Our NorCal Offensive POW, meanwhile, throws for nearly 500 yards in 74-32 win. Other chosen this week are from Atherton, Petaluma, Villa Park and Santa Maria.
