State No. 10 Serra of San Mateo has one of the top secondaries anywhere, including cornerback Cornell James (right) and safety Malakai Taoufoou, who both made big plays during team’s win last Saturday in San Francisco. Photos: Mark Tennis / Cal-Hi Sports.
Only change in first 11 is Mater Dei moving up to third with St. John Bosco just dropping one spot. That also forces De La Salle to go from fourth to fifth. The 12th spot is now occupied by CIFSS D2 top seed Chaparral. Servite also makes a big jump after win vs JSerra even though it didn’t make it into the CIFSS playoffs. Other major movers include Del Oro of Loomis, Santa Fe Christian and Clovis. This week’s newcomers are La Serna of Whittier, Helix of La Mesa, Rancho Cucamonga, Central Catholic of Modesto and Tustin.
