All five of the No. 1 teams have already been announced, but three of them were not No. 1 in these divisions at the start of the CIF regional playoffs. A few of the CIF regional winners also made giant moves at the end, including Hanford West in D3 and Escalon in D4. We have done state softball rankings by divisions since the early 1980s and will continue to do final rankings by divisions even after the CIF state championships get going next year.
