Preseason Orange County FB Team

Mater Dei hasn’t always been this dominant, but now in the “transfer era” the football program has taken off and is clearly among the best in the nation, rivaling only St. John Bosco in California, and with no end in sight. The Monarchs start out 2018 with 11 players on this preseason 30-man All-Orange County squad and with several others that arguably should have been written up as well. Other schools that did grab more than one spot among this group are Orange Lutheran, Mission Viejo, JSerra of San Juan Capistrano and Servite of Anaheim.

Note: These preseason all-section teams will be done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. They are based on a combination of what the players did last season and college recruiting. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.
