Last week on the latest FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show of the 2016 season, hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of the top five wide receivers/tight ends from CIF Sac-Joaquin Section schools, according to CalHiSports.com.
Preseason Sac-Joaquin Sec FB Team
Yes, we’re doing these teams once again for eight of the 10 CIF sections in the state and are beginning with the Sac-Joaquin. CIF state champions Del Oro and Central Catholic from last year along with four-time D1 section champ Folsom plus St. Mary’s of Stockton all land multiple players on this year’s squad.
More State Girls Athletes of Year
Among others earning top state honors are Tara Davis of Agoura (juniors), Gracie Figueroa of Selma (sophomores), Fiona O’Keeffe of Davis (Division I) and Andrea Lee of Manhattan Beach Mira Costa (Division II). Solin Pearcy of Cupertino also is third-ever State Three-Sport Athlete of the Year.
