(Click Arrows to See More Photos on home page) These are the final state rankings that go into our archives that join other final state rankings for each season back more than 40 years. A few teams are still ranked higher than teams they lost to in regional or section playoffs, but those that gained huge jumps include SoCal D1 champion Huntington Beach, NorCal D1 champion Valley Christian of San Jose plus Cathedral Catholic of San Diego. All 40 teams for the final rankings all get writeups, too. We also give a preview of which teams to look for to be ranked near the top of the state to start the 2027 season.
