This isn’t quite the same as an all-state team, but we’re once again presenting a list of leading freshman football players in the state from the 2025 season who may be on track to be on the all-state sophomore teams next season. The already announced State Freshman Player of the Year was quarterback Marcus Washington from Cajon of San Bernardino.

Notes: As mentioned in the other posts about all-state sophomores and all-state juniors, this is not a Class of 2029 recruiting list. We did not watch film of Trinity League freshman games to look for top players, either. These are all players listed below who “did something” in varsity games during the season. Other players will emerge down the road as they get varsity playing time.
