It’s not often there is a school that is placed at No. 1 in the state in football for the first time in its history but that has happened this week for Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth. The unbeaten Trailblazers still seem untested against super-elite competition by some, but to us and others they’ve done enough to be on top of the state. They will now get tested against that super-elite competition by five other teams in the CIF Southern Section D1 playoffs that start in two weeks.
