NEW State TOP 25 Softball Rankings

These are the seniors this year for new No. 9 Camarillo. Included is girls basketball McDonald’s All-American Gabriela Jaquez, who hit a home run on senior day in a 1-0 victory. Photo: @scorpssoftball / Twitter.com.

With the CIF Southern Section playoffs about to get underway, Oaks Christian takes its 28-0 record and a new No. 1 state ranking into the opening round. Previous No. 1 Clovis North falls to No. 3. Villa Park also is back up to No. 6, but the strange, sad tale of why previous No. 6 Canyon of Anaheim had its season end needs attention so the situation can be avoided in the future. This week’s only newcomer, meanwhile, is Livermore.
