All-Decade Softball: All-State Team

Two of the best players from California high schools in the 2010s that have gone on to star in college have been Nicole “Sis” Bates (left) of Ceres at Washington and Amanda Lorenz (right) of Moorpark at Florida. Photos: Dale Butler / Ceres Courier & Courtesy Family.

Vista Murrieta ends up being the only school with three first team players for the decade with two of those from the same family. Selecting this team also shows how great California was in the 2015 season and it was a challenge to try to get as many members of the just-named 2020 U.S. Olympic team written up. We have all of those players either first team or second team. Thanks for a decade of California softball. Can’t wait for the next one to start.
