State Stat Stars of the Week

Two players with no-hitters from last week were Tyson Heaton of Yucaipa (with head coach Ralph Grajeda) and Leslie Reynaga of Saugus. Photos: & @SaugusSoftball1 /

We’ve got 16 players written up for baseball, including the top hitter for the championship team at the SoCal Boras Classic, a slugger who went 5-for-5 with seven RBI and a player with a 0.00 ERA to go with a .500 batting average. Softball checks in with 15 players on the honor roll, including one girl with back-to-back no-hitters, another who already this week smashed three homers with eight RBI and an update on All-American Maya Brady of Westlake Village Oaks Christian.

(Those four are not included below.)

Note: This weekly honor roll will be for Gold Club members only. We compile them also to be sure we know which players and teams to add for our all-time state record lists, which also are for Gold Club members only. You can now sign up for $3.99 per month or $9.99 for three months, which by the way will carry you through most of the current season. Yearly rate of just 6.8 cents per day also can be done.
