State Stat Stars of the Week

Two of those written up after monster outings in the last week are QB Jackson Pavitt of Santa Rosa Cardinal Newman and grid-hoop phenom Drake London of Moorpark. Photos: & Scott Kurtz.

In the midst of senior quarterbacks like Jayden Daniels (Cajon), Trent Tompkins (Fresno Central) and Nathan Lamb (Tulare) continuing to add to their totals, junior QB Jackson Pavitt of Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa) steals the show by going 24 of 25 for 382 yards in a playoff game. We also go over why Fontana Kaiser’s Christian Hunter is now just about a lock to be the 2018 state rushing champ and we continue to add more boys and girls basketball players. A first team Grid-Hoop all-stater from last year already has a 47-point game.

Note: This weekly honor roll will be for Gold Club members only. We compile them also to be sure we know which players and teams to add for our all-time state record lists, which also are for Gold Club members only. You can now sign up this season for $3.99 per month or $9.99 for three months, which by the way will carry you through most of the current season. Yearly rate of just 6.8 cents per day also can be done. For details, CLICK HERE.
