NEW Girls BB State Top 20

With a 2-0 week, the Granada Hills Charter girls proved that the CIF D1 South regional bracket was not too much for them to chew on. The Highlanders moved into the State Top 20 for possibly the first time ever this week and will play next on Tuesday against a Ribet Academy team they’ve beaten before. Photo: Twitter.com.

The final eight for the CIF Open Division is set, and after the way it shook out those eight teams have risen to the final eight spots for the state rankings and will stay there, although it might not be in the same position for the final rankings as we have them in this week’s pecking order. The only upset if you can call it one was in the NorCal side of the bracket with No. 5 seed Salesian of Richmond squeaking out a win over No. 4 Folsom.
