Football Coaching Milestones 2017

Mike Alberghini (left) from Grant of Sacramento and Kevin Rooney from Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks are two of California’s winningest coaches and they both are from the same high school, Mira Loma of Sacramento. But that’s not all. Three other coaches on the all-time state list are also from that same high school. Photos: Mark Tennis & ndhs.org.

Highlights include Kevin Rooney from Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks winning his 300th game, Bruce Rollinson from Mater Dei of Santa Ana going 15-0 with his team ending No. 1 in the nation and the final seasons in remarkable careers for Bob Johnson (Mission Viejo) and Mark Louriero (Escalon).
