FINAL CIF Sac-Joaquin Sec Top 20

Once again, since the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section is the one for our home base in Stockton, we have put together a weekly Top 20 in football for that section this season. This will be the final rankings for the 2017 season since both Folsom and Placer won’t change for final rankings whether they win or lose in CIF state finals. Placer already has been given a bump for beating Salinas and beating Crenshaw of Los Angeles wouldn’t move the Hillmen up any further.

*Forfeit wins & losses not included.

Junior RB Marshall Chapman has amassed more than 1,300 yards rushing in 13 games for Placer. Teammate Mario Perez also has more than 1,300 yards in 14 games. Photo: Hudl.com.

If these ranking include playoffs which I am sure they do then Oakdale has 2 losses and not one. They lost to both Folsom in the regular season and Manteca in the Section Final.

Thanks for your honest ranking. St Mary’s is where they should be. For some reason a num skull in Sacto ranks Oak Ridge higher even though they were beat by SM.

Although Oakdale didn’t win a section title, are they still moved to D2 next season for playoffs under the continued success rule?

I believe both Del Oro for D1 and Oakdale for D2 needed to win section titles for them to both move up next season.
