Ms. Basketball State POY Finalists

Just like the boys, it’s also down to six who can be considered finalists for a prestigious honor that lists winners back to 1972. Unlike the boys, though, it’s two seniors making the cut with four juniors. This year’s Ms. Basketball State Player of the Year will be announced on Monday, April 13.

Saturday CIF Girls Finals

Relentless St. Mary’s of Stockton wins its first CIF Open Division title and eighth overall with a comeback against Mater Dei. In Division II, Archbishop Mitty powers to sixth crown, while in Division IV a dynamic duo caps 3-for-4 career in state titles for Sierra Canyon.

Breakout Players From the Ballroom

Cream of the crop list of top players from Las Vegas girls hoop tourney includes the obvious, but we’re more fired up about those who were breakout performers and those we’ll be seeing in future years.
