All-State Baseball Nominees (Part 1)

It’s time to get ready to choose the 35th annual Cal-Hi Sports all-state baseball teams. This initial step is to post our first list of nominees. Don’t get mad if someone you think is missing. Just send us a nomination. There are 1,200 schools in our state and we’re doing softball at the same time.

State Stat Stars of the Week

It’s a 50-point party for Marin Academy’s Kyle Roach and Santa Barbara’s Amber Melgoza. We’ve got some huge grid-hooper standouts as well, led by Sheldon Croney from Ridgeview of Bakersfield, plus one team with a quadruple-double and triple-double in the same game.

State Stat Stars of the Week

Presented by ATHLETETRAX, this week’s best focuses more on the running backs as Isaiah Ortega-Dage of Shadow Hills and Greg Sprague of Apple Valley break loose for totals that make the single-game state record book. Trey Naahas, Noah Magana and Moby Contreras also close out huge regular seasons with 300-yard games.
