After all games in the books, it’s pretty obvious the state’s No. 1 and No. 2 girls teams are Mater Dei and St. Mary’s of Stockton. After that, though, it’s more of a toss up. Did Sierra Canyon make a case to be No. 3 with Monday win over St. Ignatius?
NEW Bay Area 25 Football Rankings
CCS Open Division swallows up No. 2 Milpitas and No. 3 Serra while Sacred Heart Prep is into the semifinals at 11-0. NCS top seeds De La Salle, Clayton Valley and Campolindo, meanwhile, are rolling and positioning for runs toward CIF state titles.
Pairings Breakdown: North Coast
De La Salle, Clayton Valley and Campolindo are easy No. 1 seeds for the top three divisions. The biggest surprises are in the small school divisions where one 10-0 team only got a No. 10 seed plus two teams seem to have benefitted from getting forfeit wins over Oakland McClymonds.

Big winners include St. Mary’s of Berkeley, Serra of San Mateo and this week’s only newcomer, Windsor. The North Bay is still shaking, meanwhile, with Napa Justin-Siena’s win over Marin Catholic in a league game.
