All of our state football records for categories such as schools with the most all-time wins, schools with the best all-time records, schools with multiple CIF state championships and other categories have been updated prior to the start of the 2026 season. Bakersfield and Long Beach Poly finally got another school to join them with 700 or more all-time wins and there is very likely going to be another one this season. We also have updated losing streak records as well.

TOP FIVE SCHOOLS WITH THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS
1. Bakersfield
The Drillers went 11-2 last season (which includes a win on the field in the first game vs Buchanan of Clovis that later became a forfeit loss) and passed up Long Beach Poly for the top spot in state history. Bakersfield also won a CIF Central Section playoff game. The school, which began playing football in 1896 and has the second-most number of unbeaten seasons in state history, begins the 2026 season with 834 all-time wins.
