On the same weekend as the WNBA season gets going, it’s time to start naming players for the 47th annual edition of the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Girls Basketball Teams. You should notice that’s the same number of years as for the boys. These first teams are for the most outstanding juniors, sophomores and freshmen in the state. Who knows some of these future WNBA players may be enjoying the first major honors of their careers. This is a Gold Club post only for our subscribers as will the second team & third team overall honorees. The all-state teams according to CIF divisions will be free, however, and to see everything we do costs much less than any newspaper subscriptions or recruiting networks.
