Another season is now completely in the books and what a wild one it was. The seeding system employed by the CIF of blending the competitive equity formulas of all 10 sections, all different, had its flaws, and the further narrowing of the teams that really should qualify for the Open Division is something we have heard the powers at be will possibly be reconsidering. However, in the end, it really didn’t affect at least the final Top 20 teams very much. And it certainly had no affect on the fact that Ontario Christian was by far and away the top team in the state and forever will be graced with the state’s top spot in the annals of California girls basketball history.
