Seeds, seedings and saplings. The CIF Regional playoffs are set, the seedings are out, and the action begins on Tuesday for lower divisions and on Wednesday for the Open Division. However, reflecting back on the section playoffs, and the CIF Southern Section in particular, the traditional perennial girls basketball powers are still not totally changed, but for the past few years the balance of power has shifted to the Inland Empire. As for the CIF Open Division seedings, the seeds pretty much mirror the rankings with one lone exception.
