Here’s the next group of players for our 47th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. After the sophomores led things off, we move on to the best of the best for juniors. Quarterbacks, quarterbacks and quarterbacks galore are everywhere in this group with two of the very best in the nation leading way — Mr. Football State Player of the Year Brady Smigiel of Newbury Park and Folsom’s Ryder Lyons. We just couldn’t get them all on probably as high as some of them should be in a normal year. Schools with three or more honorees on first or second team include three from the Trinity League — Mater Dei, St. John Bosco and Orange Lutheran — plus Folsom and Mission Viejo. We have first, second and third teams selected from all corners of the state.
