Grace Knox (23) slaps hands with Aliyahna “Puff” Morris during new state No. 2 Etiwanda’s win on Monday in Springfield, Mass., over Incarnate Word of St. Louis (Mo.), which snapped Incarnate Word’s national record 141-game winning streak. Wonder if anyone at Etiwanda has ever been to Bellevue, Wash., which in 2004 snapped Concord De La Salle’s national football record 151-game win streak? Photo: @HoophallClassic / X.com.
There were a couple of changes in the top 10 this week with Etiwanda and Archbishop Mitty flipping. The next three spots stayed the same but with Folsom getting upset the next four teams after the Bulldogs all moved up a spot with Fairmont Prep joining the top 10. The reality is once we get past No. 6 the who-beat-who syndrome manifests itself, then we get down to the latter part of the TOP 30 teams beating each other combined with some teams taking questionable losses. We did have one newcomer this week by virtue of one of those upsets.
