As a companion list to a group of those considered more near the top of the state to be the first-ever State Freshman Player of the Year, here’s a more comprehensive list of those now on our radar screen as ninth graders we’ll likely be following for the next few years.

Notes: As mentioned in the other post about this topic this week, this is not a Class of 2026 recruiting list. We did not watch film of the Mater Dei-St. John Bosco freshman game to look for top players, either. These are all players listed below who have “done something” in varsity games so far this season. Other players will emerge down the road as they get varsity playing time.
