This will be the next to last stop in our tour of California through various preseason all-section, all-county or all-area football teams. This time, we complete the CIF Southern Section with a look at top returning players from the San Gabriel, Santa Clarita & Antelope valleys. Bishop Amat of La Puente is the leading team. There also are multiple players featured from St. Francis of La Canada, Highland of Palmdale, Bonita of La Verne, Charter Oak of Covina and Glendora.

Note: These preseason all-section or all-area teams are done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. They are based on a combination of what the players did last spring and college recruiting. Transfers may not be included if not reported yet, haven’t played for a new school yet, or info on a transfer from previous school isn’t available. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.

STATEWIDE LINEUP OF THESE PRESEASON TEAMS
(ALL TO BE DONE BY THIS THURSDAY):

CIF L.A. City Section | CIFSS Inland Empire | CIF Central Section | CIF San Diego Section | CIF NCS East Bay | CIF NCS Redwood Empire | CIF Sac-Joaquin Section | CIF Central Coast Section | CIFSS Long Beach/South Bay | CIFSS San Fernando Valley/Ventura | CIF Northern Section | CIF/SS Orange County

We hope you consider a Gold Club membership on CalHiSports.com to view all the preseason all section teams. All regular season State TOP 50 rankings also will be Gold Club posts. You can sign up today to get all of our Gold Club content for just $3.99 for one month. A three-month sub, which by the way will carry you through almost all of the upcoming season, is just $9.99. Note: While the Orange County, Inland Empire and Long Beach/South Bay portions of the CIF Southern Section for these teams are easy to break up, the other two are not. Previously, the Ventura County and San Fernando areas were joined by Santa Barbara County to the north and several schools from L.A. County to the south down to Culver City. Schools from the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley (along with Loyola of L.A. and a few others) are now joined with the schools from the San Gabriel Valley in our final part of the CIFSS preseason teams. Public schools from the San Fernando Valley also were included separately in our preseason All-CIF L.A. City Section team.
