Friday’s CIF Southern Section D1 championship between longtime Orange County rivals Mater Dei and Servite isn’t just their first football meeting in a section final. It’s also the first between them as the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the state. This week’s new order also shows Alemany of Mission Hills and Cathedral Catholic of San Diego both in the top 10 and big upward moves in the top 25 for Orange Lutheran, Lincoln of San Diego, Serra of Gardena and Long Beach Poly.
