All-State Softball: 2nd & 3rd Teams

Junior pitcher-hitter Hope Jenkins from St. Francis of Sacramento (left) was one of the top-ranked players in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section. She and twin sister Grace have both committed to UConn. At right is Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth grad Amber Toven, who was the first high profile softball player from that school. She will play next at Arizona. The 38th installment of the Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams selections for softball concludes with 30 players named second team overall and approximately 30 more who are third team. Any player from any school regardless of class or school size can be on second team. The third team, however, is only for seniors and only for large schools.

Congratulations to these players who’ve been named second team overall and third team for the 38th edition of the Cal-Hi Sports all-state softball honors program:

If you are chosen to any of the Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams, you should consider yourself an “all-state” player. Whether it’s first team overall, second team overall, third team, underclass, medium schools or small schools, to be on any of these teams should be considered an all-state honor.

We try to research and collect info from everywhere we can and we give people several weeks to send in nominations. Still, it’s not a perfect system so of course it’s possible to miss on a deserving player.

With that said, congratulations to the following 2021 Cal-Hi Sports all-state softball second team members as well as third team:
