All-Time Single-Year Passing Leaders

Dylan Wheatley (left) from Citrus Valley of Redlands will return in 2020 season as one of the state’s top stat stars to watch after he passed for 47 TDs as a junior. In four different games, Dylan had 6 TD passes. At right is La Jolla Country Day’s E.J. Kreutzmann, who gained entry into the state record book with 5,083 yards and 57 TD passes last season. He has graduated and will be playing baseball in college at Columbia University in New York. Photos: Twitter.com & Hudl.com.

All players from 2019 season who’ve qualified are now included in all-time state record lists that contain hundreds of names in four separate categories — most yards, most yards regular season, most TD passes and most TD passes regular season. We also have all of these records updated in our football records section prior to start of 2020 season. The plan is to update all of the state football records we have by the middle of August.

Note: This is a post for Gold Club members only. We also have even longer lists available in these categories in our exclusive football state records section. Before the 2020 season begins, we sure have the extra time to have all records updated and ready to go. To become a Gold Club member for as low as 6.8 cents per day, CLICK HERE.

Note: We of course utilize MaxPreps.com leader lists for current players and we encourage all schools and coaches to use that platform. There can be errors in those lists, however, that are not edited (especially duplications) and there are still a few players who have unreported totals. MaxPreps also only goes back to the early 2000s. All California records before that were obtained through research by Cal-Hi Sports. We are the only source for state football records in California.
