It’s been a couple of weeks since the first of these teams for the upcoming 2019 season was done. That’s because it was planned to be posted during a recent vacation and we signed up one of our free-lance editors to do it. Today, we’ll get the second one posted, which will be for our hometown area — the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section. Running backs lead the way with Rio Linda’s Cameron Skattebo and Folsom’s Daniyel Ngata among state’s best at that position. The big boys who’d potentially be blocking for them up front are an impressive group, too.

Note: These preseason all-section teams will be done in the same 30-player format as the annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. They are based on a combination of what the players did last season and college recruiting. Transfers may not be included if not reported yet or info on a transfer from previous school isn’t available. Not every all-section team will have writeups of every player. Some will have an intro, then lists.
