FINAL Divisional Softball Ranks 2019

Crescenta Valley of La Crescenta won CIF Southern Section Division 3 title, but in five-division state format are considered Division 2. In those final rankings, Falcons ended third. They also were No. 26 in final, expanded State Top 40. Photo: Courtesy school.

Since many of the teams in D1 and D2 are also in the final State Top 40 overall rankings package and the rankings need to match, we’ve started to release the final division rankings at the same time. These rankings include just about every CIF section champion in the state plus many that were runner-ups or semifinalists. Teams that moved up for the final rankings include Marin Catholic of Kentfield (D3), McKinleyville (D4), Nordhoff of Ojai (D4), Etna (D5) and Pasadena Poly (D5).

Note: These divisions do not match divisional alignments in sections with Open Divisions or in sections with more than five divisions. Our state rankings by division for many years have been done in five divisions and we have continued that again for this season.
