We now have three No. 1 teams from the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section as Argonaut of Jackson has now moved on top of Division 4. The two teams previously that were in catbird spots, Los Banos (D3) and Mariposa County (D5), have continued to win in section playoffs. None of the three has won anything yet beyond its league. We also have a No. 1 ranking for D2 clinched by Santa Margarita of Rancho Santa Margarita after the Eagles won the CIF Southern Section D2 title. The D1 and overall No. 1 state ranking, meanwhile, for De La Salle of Concord will be decided in its section final on Saturday after the Spartans won on Tuesday in their semifinal.
