Inside The All-State Softball Team

One of the freshmen from the 2018 season who can now officially say they are all-state would be Rachel Allen (left) from Palos Verdes (PV Estates). At right, is our most inspirational player of the year, Pacific Grove’s Danielle Pasquariello. Photos: Twitter.com & Hudl.com.

We like to start off this annual feature with our writeup of the most inspirational player of the year, highlighting a player who had to overcome some adversity to have a memorable season. This year, that honor goes to Pacific Grove’s Danielle Pasquariello. We also have a salute to another player — West of Torrance’s Samantha Pech — who helped her team to a final No. 1 state ranking after sustaining injuries in a scary car crash. Go inside as well for additional sophomores and freshmen who can call themselves all-state players, which former legend had a daughter gain an all-state honor and more.
