The postseason is upon us in some sections around the state, but don’t expect too much change until we get deeper in the playoff brackets. Of course, the 8-team CIF Southern Section Open Division bracket will have a big impact on that movement, but none of the teams would drop out if they lose in the first round and the only upset would be if top-ranked Bishop Montgomery were to lose to bubble club St. John Bosco of Bellflower. This week’s two newcomers, meanwhile, come from the CIF Central Coast Section and CIF San Diego Section.
