Several NorCal teams had to drop a few spots due to 0-5 record at Sac State. Sierra Canyon also comes up into Top 25 for final rankings while Del Oro and San Mateo Serra take drops. All six Trinity League teams are in as is CIF D3-AA champ Paraclete.

21. (19) Clayton Valley (Concord) 9-2
With all of the NorCal teams losing in CIF state finals held at Sac State, the Ugly Eagles also have to drop a couple of spots in the final rankings. They still have to be in front of CIF NCS D1 champion Monte Vista because nothing changed in the factors that led to them being chosen for the NCS Open Division anyway. They lost in that Open Division 28-0 to De La Salle, but their only other loss was to No. 11 Helix of La Mesa. Clayton Valley also beat eventual CIF D4-AA state champ Campolindo of Moraga 50-15 in its final regular season contest.
