Softball: Career HR State List

It was reported on Friday night that Mission Viejo’s Alyssa Palomino had tied the CIF Southern Section record for career homers with her 50th. That didn’t seem correct to us, so we took some time Saturday morning going through the Cal-Hi Sports archives and files.

Although we haven’t been able to produce a printed record book since 2009, we can update certain categories when they are relevant, which is the case now as Palomino’s totals (and others) are coming up for career homers.

Here is the most up-to-date Cal-Hi Sports state record list for softball career homers (through April 3, 2015):

*Notes: Brianna Tautalafua is a senior at Carson this season, but is reportedly not playing after suffering a knee injury in Carson’s last game for last season. If she was playing, her career total would have started at 39 this season based on her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. Brianna will play next year at UCLA. Amanda Lorenz (Moorpark) has a reported career total of 34 including eight reported games so far this season.
