NEW Sac-Joaquin Section Top 5 List

Last week on the FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show, hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of players with the top five single-game receiving yards in CIF Sac-Joaquin Section history, according to CalHiSports.com.

Here is what that countdown revealed with player, high school and notes:

1. Damen Wheeler (Sacramento) 380 in 2013
He did it in the section playoffs last year vs. Christian Brothers and his total also set a new state record.

2. Logan Smith (Vista del Lago) 318 in 2011
He did that in overtime win against Liberty Ranch and also caught 24 passes.

3. Phillip Carter (Folsom) 317 in 2012
He did it the same game when Jake Browning passed for 10 TDs.

4. John Horn (Yuba City) 309 in 2014
He did that just a few weeks ago in a 42-40 loss to Rio Linda.

5. Kyle Providence (Elk Grove) 289 in 2003
He did that against Folsom in a 30-15 win.
