The day has arrived when honors begin to be announced for the 37th annual Cal-Hi Sports all-state boys basketball teams. We begin with the best of among juniors, sophomores and freshmen. Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth leads the way with three honorees.

Note: We’ll have an inside look at this year’s boys basketball all-state teams after all of the teams are chosen, including names of players we really wanted to pick but couldn’t. That post plus all of our player rankings and our all-time archive of all-state underclass boys basketball teams (which also has been added to the site today) are for Gold Club members only. Tyree Winborn freshman Arleta Hi. SC. again overlooked or whatever you what to call it. Numbers don’t lye.

There’s only room for 10 freshmen in entire state of California. His stats also were not available anyplace we looked and no one nominated him.

We know about Tyree Winborn Clifford. Another factor that kept his off is the level of competition that Arleta is playing in the LA City Section. Regardless of his numbers, it was going to be hard for him to make it with the 10 limit unless he received major honors from the L.A. Daily News.

Very Strong List! However; Isaiah Tenette Is An Unbelievably Phenomenal Guard From Sacramento. Led His Section In Assists, & Was Top 10 In Scoring. He Also Was 5th In The State For APG & Top 20 In The State For PPG. & Don’t Forget The Kid Had 15 Dunks At Only 5 FEET 8 INCHES TALL. That’s Amazing. & A 52 Point Game. I Believe The Kid Is All State Quality. He’s Pure. I Saw His Name On The Nominee’s List, & Thought He’d Have Spot On The Team For Sure. Just Give It/Him A Review, He Is Definitely Worth It (You Can Look At His Highlights On Youtube As I Did, By Just Typing His Name In Or “Isaiah Tenette Best Kept Secret”.) I Believe The Kid Deserves A Spot On The Team. His Numbers Don’t Lie, & Neither Does His Film.
Congrats To All The Players That Made It, Well Deserved! I Love To See So Much Young Talent. & I Firmly Believe Isaiah Should Make The Team, & Those Who Know Of Him Would Agree.

JoJo Walker is not a true sophomore. The young man is 18 years old, hence he is not a true sophomore… Huge biast is present in this selection.

Coach Mott nominated him and we don’t ask for age verification. That’s up to the CIF.

I agree Jennings with the top point guard at the time Royal Harris and Cameron Brown never panned out this on Hampton end up having a child and never made it to Division I but on a high school level these were all amazing players and fun to watch that Westchester team almost one for state championships
