No. 1 teams heading into the section playoffs and in line for mythical divisional state crowns are Rancho Bernardo of San Diego (D1), College Park of Pleasant Hill (D2), Kaiser of Fontana (D3), Santa Ynez (D4) and Minarets of O’Neals (D5).
This final group of players are all from the CIF Southern Section. It is part of the process toward selection of the 35th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. We are also open to get additional nominees from parents, coaches and fans.
With a confirmation from a reporter at the game as well as game film checks, a new CalHiSports.com state football record in the category of most quarterback sacks in a game is being credited to senior defensive end Clayton Hanly of Santa Ynez.
