State Record Updates/Stat Stars
Extra time was spent this week working on all of our state football record lists for single game highs. Sparked by an eight-touchdown pass game from week one and then a massive outing by La Jolla Country Day’s E.J. Kreutzmann for week two, we’re completely done with the single game touchdown pass and passing yardage...

It wasn’t easy, though, as a foul-marred contest saw numerous starters foul out, including Okongwu. We also have recaps and photos from La Jolla Country […]
NEW Girls BB State Top 20 Rankings
The old expression “the cream rises to the top” could not be more appropriate than in describing the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs because after all the grousing and social media complaints about the pool play format, the teams that were seeded No. 1 in each pool went 3-0, although each of their wins...
SoCal/NorCal Players of the Week
For the first time in this honors’ program history, we’ve chosen two players from great games played on a Saturday who then had their teams play against each other on a Monday. That can only happen on MLK weekend. For the boys, we were more normal going with hair-raising scoring outputs from players representing regions […]

St. Mary’s MLK Day 1 Highlights
Four of the six State Top 20 teams that played on Saturday at the St. Mary’s of Stockton Martin Luther King Girls Basketball Showcase were not able to get into the win column, but none of the results could really be called all that surprising.
