Mazi Moayed: 39-4 and cancer free

Marin Catholic football coach reveals for the first time in an exclusive interview with Cal-Hi Sports that during his first season in 2010 he was in a battle with cancer. Despite that situation, Moayed’s teams have gone 39-4 in three seasons and he is looking for another strong showing in 2013.


All-State Football: Second, Third Teams

Mission Viejo, Rancho Cucamonga, Oceanside, Crenshaw, Marin Catholic and Serra of Gardena add second-teamers to first-team honorees. There are 90 players in all who collect all-state status within this post.

Saturday NorCal Bowls: DLS sacks Folsom

Sophomore QB does break state passing yards record but is harassed all night long by De La Salle defense. Spartan offense also impresses in 49-15 victory. Other NorCal winners are Oakdale, Marin Catholic.


CIF NorCal Bowl Predictions and Preview

It looks like the weather will clear for tantalizing games at Sacramento State, Lincoln of Stockton and Oroville. We think all five games have a rather obvious favorite.
