NorCal/SoCal Players of the Week
Both of this week’s boys selections got our attention for scoring 40 points in a game, one of them being a player new to California after making a name for himself in Virginia. Our four honorees hail from Atherton, Shasta Lake, Irvine and Agoura.
More State Girls Athletes of Year
Among others earning top state honors are Tara Davis of Agoura (juniors), Gracie Figueroa of Selma (sophomores), Fiona O’Keeffe of Davis (Division I) and Andrea Lee of Manhattan Beach Mira Costa (Division II). Solin Pearcy of Cupertino also is third-ever State Three-Sport Athlete of the Year.
All-State Baseball: First Team
With several former all-state first team players getting ready to play in the MLB All-Star Game, here’s our own California prep version of an all-star roster, which also is the 35th consecutive year that we’ve done it.
