The Bay Area Basketball Coaches Association (BABCA), with the support of both the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) is hosting Boys California Live ’26. The annual event takes place June 26-28, 2026 during the second of the NCAA’s two 2026 June Scholastic Live Periods and for the second time the boys event will be held in Northern California. BABCA hosted the first live period event in NorCal two years ago.
Boys California Live ‘26 will be held in the Sacramento metro area in the city of Rocklin at the Hardwood Palace (along with two local high schools). The event will be managed by BABCA, just as it was for Girls California Live ’25 and Boys California Live ‘24. Boys California Live 2026 will be one of approximately 30 NCAA sanctioned events nationwide, and the largest, so it is a unique and exclusive opportunity for high school student-athletes to demonstrate their talent in front of NCAA D1 coaches and lower levels as well. California Live ‘24 drew 168 college coaches.
“BABCA is thrilled to be selected by the CIF to host Boys Cali Live ’26,” said Randal Bessolo, event manager and head coach at University High School of San Francisco. “BABCA is committed to serving our coaches and players and the event will be a unique opportunity for the best high school teams in California to compete against each other in front of college coaches. Our experience successfully running Boys Cali Live ’24 has given BABCA the experience to once again deliver a first class event for California high school players, college coaches and fans.”
The event will include high school teams from California that are full CIF members, plus select programs from contiguous states, and is intended to showcase teams with a college prospect. There is an application process for CIF teams and select teams from the contiguous states to be selected for this prestigious event.
Boys high school coaches at CIF member programs and contiguous state associations can request an application notification by CLICKING HERE or via the tab on the BABCA website: babca.org
