The consensus No. 1 ranked prospect in the state, Folsom QB Ryder Lyons, made news earlier this week with his commitment to BYU. The reclassification of three players from the Class of 27 — TE Mark Bowman of Mater Dei, DE Richard Wesley of Sierra Canyon and DB Havon Finney Jr. of Sierra Canyon — also pushed a lot of players down in these new rankings. Otherwise the highest rising player compared to last year would be another Mater Dei player — DL Tomuhini Tupui.

Note: We also have player rankings for boys basketball that were done in late May and will have the first list for the Class of 2027 in football in the next two weeks. All player ranking charts (past and present since 2013) are for Gold Club members only.
