It was a short week, but a lot happened to cause change in the latest boys basketball state rankings. We have a new No. 1 as this Mission League program earns this spot for the first time in school history in our weekly rankings format that goes back many years. It took down previous No. 1 Harvard-Westlake and has a No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the state showdown this week. Also, find out why Mater Dei dropped a spot to No. 3 while other big winners of the week include new No. 9 De La Salle, new No. 13 Riordan, and new No. 19 Windward. The competitive CIF Southern Section playoff scenario is beginning to come into focus as well.
