State Stat Stars of the Week

This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. We missed last week due to all of our end-of-season coverage for football, but here’s a double-dose of boys and girls basketball players who have been piling up buckets. For girls, we have a senior guard from San Diego with a triple-double and 15 steals in one game from this week. For boys, there’s a 54-point outing from two weeks ago and we show you why a freshman from St. Joseph (Santa Maria) is doing a lot more than just breaking backboards.
