With no games played so far during the 2020-21 school year and no ability for anyone to emerge, the only way to adjust the Hot 100 player football rankings for California’s leading Class of 2022 prospects is by looking at those players who’ve landed D1 or Power 5 scholarship offers in the last few months.
As explained when this group was checked out closely the first time in the fall, there is no consensus No. 1 prospect in the state like there is for the current seniors (Class of 2021) — Corona Centennial defensive end Korey Foreman (just committed to USC). That first run-through had defensive back Domani Jackson of Santa Ana Mater Dei in the first slot. We have tended to love football players with big-time track speed and Domani (10.78 in the 100 as a freshman) certainly qualifies for that.
