Girls BB: Divisional All-State 2020

Taylor Linzie (left) of Bakersfield is one of those chosen to the D2 all-state squad. She’s already been selected as player of the year by the Bakersfield Californian. At right (No. 31) is senior leader Ashley Hiraki of Archbishop Mitty (San Jose). There wasn’t consensus regarding a player of year in Northern California & Bay Area, but Ashley was Bay Area News Group Player of Year. She will play next at Santa Clara. Following the boys divisional all-state teams from last weekend, here are the same ones for the girls. These teams are based on the CIF state divisions (not sections) and in some cases we had to extrapolate where teams would have been placed for the CIF state playoffs to determine all-state divisional placement. With the final overall top 30 players still to come (broken up into 1st, 2nd & 3rd teams), congratulations to these 60 players for Open/Division I all-state, 30 for Division II all-state, 24 for Division III all-state and 15 for Division IV and Division V.

Tough to get everyone on, but we do have plenty of representation from L.A. City Section (Hamilton, Carson, Pali, etc.).

Nor Cal Division 4 & 5 players are missing. Harold doesn’t
cover anything less than CCS Open/WCAL teams.

Harold has followed the entire state for many years.
And he might push for a player that still doesn’t make it.
If you have a beef with players missing, we can’t answer a question if you don’t say who.
90 percent of the time it’s a player we know but just couldn’t get on.

Looks like it will be in about two weeks as of now. Coordinating end of year stuff in four sports that all ended on June 19 to June 26 is not easy.
